I have been so very busy recently that I haven't had time to update the blog.  'The Translators', for which I am Stage Manager was a success in 'The Next Stage', part of a competition for new writers.  I managed to secure the props and sound effects we needed, should we progress to the next round of the competition we will have to produce the play for real which will be a bit more nerve racking.  It was good to work with the Director and the Cast as well as the new members of the Cast.  Hopefully this will lead to more backstage work.

I began my NaNowrimo novel but in addition to not writing the novel I expected to I have now stopped writing it (I shall explain why in a moment).  I was considering trying to tackle my science fiction tale but instead I have opted for gothic literature in the style of Lovecraft.  I am not sure what drove me to do this, perhaps it was attendance at the White Mischief Haunted Ballroom party or Mark Gatiss's history of horror on BBC iplayer.  Probably both.

I was elected the National Director of Plot as part of the Larp system, Fools and Heroes so now I have to imagineer a whole campaign, source props, build set and run the national event in summer next year and the year after.  This is already proving to be very exciting and I hope to rise to it and make everyone happy.
I have spent a few weekends trying to get to see friends I do not see enough of and see S.  I have also been caring for my Bonsai and he still lives.  In an effort to take care of myself I have taken up Yoga and become interested in my dental hygine in a big way (don't ask why).
